According to South Korea "Asian Economy" report, South Korea postal business headquarters used drones to deliver express mail on November 28, which is the first time South Korea has completed the drone express business. According to reports, the drone departed from Heung-gun, Jeollanam-do, and headed to Deokyang Island, 4 kilometers away.

The drones used are fully automated without the need for a remote control system. The weight of the courier item delivered is 8 kg, and the flying height of the drone is 50 meters, and the flight time is less than 10 minutes. After the drone completes the delivery business, it will automatically return to the departure point immediately.

Because Deliang Island is surrounded by the sea on all sides, the transportation is inconvenient. When delivering express delivery, the courier needs to take a passenger ship to reach the land in the morning, transport the express goods to the ship, and then return to the island again. Using drones for distribution can greatly reduce logistics time.
